Hi there. I am a midwife living in Tauranga and I cover families from Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Te Puke.

 

I provide full Antenatal, Labour/Birth and Postnatal care, so from the time you are pregnant to the time your baby/babies are 4-6 weeks old.

 

I also provide secondary care. For you this means that in labour if you need extra services of an obstetrician or other, then I will stay with you during this time until the baby is born. I endeavour not to hand over care to the staff, however if we have been up for more than 18 hours, then in the interest of safety for you and your baby I will hand over to either the hospital staff or a back up midwife.

 

Like nearly all midwives I do take regular time off to spend with my family and recharge my batteries, this means that every second weekend I will be unavailable but I will leave your care in the hands of a reliable back up.

I hold my Midwifery Clinics at Bay Midwifery Centre, 559 Fraser Street, Tauranga.

 

My clinic days are Friday afternoons.  This can change if I have training to attend, or am at a birth on these days. You will be notified as soon as I know if this is going to change.
